Greene to start at RB for Falcons (8-20-13)

Travis Greene, who was moved from wide receiver to running back to start spring drills, has earned the start against Tulsa for the Bowling Green Falcon football team.
Greene is a 5-10, 181, redshirt sophomore.
‘‘He’s exceeded expectations. He’s just so elusive; he has the ability to make people miss,’’ BG head coach Dave Clawson said Tuesday. ‘‘When you move a receiver to running back, you always worry about how they are going to hold up in (pass) protection, and he’s held up pretty well.
‘‘He’s quick, fast and can cut on a dime,’’ he added.
With Green’s training as a wide receiver, he had good hands for the passing game, Clawson said.
