Dr. Morris Joseph Weinberger, 85, of Bowling Green, died Saturday morning in Wood County Hospital. Many who met him were touched by his blue eyes, his quirky sense of humor, engaging smile and deep dimples, as well as his signature bolo-ties.Dr. Weinberger was born in Duluth, MN, to Maurice and Catherine Weinberger. He married Kathleen Grams, Nov. 25, 1946, and they were later divorced. On November 26, 1976, he married Helene McGowan Chaney.
For 25 years (1968-1993) he taught in the College of Education and Human Development at Bowling Green State University.
He was an Associate Professor of Educational Administration at Wichita State University from 1961-1968, a Principal of Hinsdale School in Pueblo, CO from 1956-1961, and a math and science teacher from 1948-1956.
He earned his Ed D in 1965 at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he received an alumni scholarship. He received his master's of education from the University of Colorado in 1956, and a bachelor degree from the University of Minnesota in 1946.
