David Levison, owner of EPI Global, said he hopes to break ground in four to six weeks on a 14,000-square-foot building near Toledo Executive Airport.
At its Feb. 20 meeting, the Lake Board of Education approved an enterprise zone agreement between the township and Levison Holding LCC, doing business as EPI Global. This pays Lake School District $11,000 per year annually for 10 years of tax abatement.
As part of the agreement, the school district waives the right to scheduled hearings of the Lake Township Trustees and Wood County Commissioners.
The trustees will vote on the tax abatement at their March 5 meeting, said Trustee Richard Welling.
Levison, in a phone interview on Thursday, said EPI Global's new building will be just east of Nagle Trucking, which is at 4520 Moline-Martin Road.
