Grape Smugglers in G. Rapids
GRAND RAPIDS - The Grape Smugglers will present the next program of the Rhythm on the River Arts Series on Sunday at 4 p.m. The programs are held in the Wright Pavilion located on the towpath between the canal and the Maumee River at the end of Lincoln Street behind LaRoe's Restaurant.
With over 150 combined years of musical experiences, The Grape Smugglers is a seven-piece band of players from the Toledo area covering many genres of music, including blues, rock, vintage R&B and soul, and country. Their set lists include Deep Purple, Average White Band, Doobie Brothers, Delbert McClinton and John Mayall.
Members are Dave Stella, Rick Thomas, Jon Diener, Chuck Caswell, Joe Martin, John Grafing, and Grand Rapids' own Tim Tiderman.
The Rhythm programs are sponsored by the Grand Rapids Historical Society and are free to the public. Bring lawn chairs or blankets.
