While the show did proceed, it did so in a fashion that left some competitors furious, while others were much more understanding.
Rain hampered track conditions early in the event, causing delays throughout the rest of the day. To make matters worse, one of the two sleds in which the tractors and trucks pull was taken off the track due to a maintenance issue.
With the pulls only able to go on with one sled even further delays were compounded.
