Northwood has two drug arrests
NORTHWOOD - Two drug-related incidents were reported in Northwood as a result of traffic stops this week.
Police report that at 10:35 a.m. Tuesday, a vehicle driven by Nikita Smith Jr., 23, Toledo, was stopped for speeding in the 2100 block of Tracy Road. Identifiers were noted and Toledo Police brought their canine unit to the scene.
After a search, the dog allegedly found a marijuana joint, and a pill bottle containing loose marijuana in the center console of the vehicle.
Smith was issued a citation for drug possession.
On Wednesday, at the Wales Road overpass of Interstate 75, a vehicle driven by Jason Bogdanski, 39, Perrysburg, was stopped for not displaying a front license plate. It was found that Bogdanski was driving under suspension.
During an inventory of the vehicle, a glass crack pipe was reportedly found in the map pocket of the driver's side door.
Bodganski was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as no front plate, fictitious plates, and no operator's license.
