A Perrysburg man who was a passenger in a vehicle died Monday as a result of a two-vehicle accident in Lucas County.
Walter E. Baker, 89, was transported to UTMC, where he was later pronounced deceased. Baker was a right front seat passenger in a 2007 Cadillac DTS being driven by Mary Ann Lillis, 52, of Littleton, Colo.
The Toledo Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred at the intersection of Dutch Road and Waterville Monclova Road at approximately 1:10 p.m.
Jodie L. Perry, 39, of Swanton, was operating a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, traveling eastbound on Dutch Road. Lillis was westbound on Dutch, attempting to turn south on Waterville Monclova Road, when Perry failed to stop for the stop sign and struck Lillis in the right side, the patrol reported.
