Dorothy G. McEwen, age 87, of North Ft. Myers, FL., and formerly of Lake Township, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, in Hope Hospice. She was born in Toledo on September 23, 1925, to Ely Knight and Elinor Whipple. She was employed as a Secretary for Toledo Trust before retiring.
Dorothy married Thomas E. McEwen on January 19, 1946 and they were married for 50 years, before he passed.
Dorothy was a member of the Eastern Star, an Honorary Millbury Firemaid, and an avid card player at Horizon Village.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children, James (Robin) McEwen, Pam (Rick) Genson, and Becky (Brently) Gill; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Irene Mock and Vera (Ray) Steiniger.
