Together our community is better, indeed. As the area experienced severe weather on Wednesday, July 10, many came to the assistance of individuals served by Wood Lane. The tornado warning siren was sounded while several buses and shuttle vans were already on the road to return folks home. If they were close enough, some returned to Wood Lane where they were safely evacuated to shelter. Others were forced to go to the closest safe building. Members of our community quickly pitched in to help people out of the bus or van - without even being asked! We especially thank the staff and customers at Woodland Mall's Elder-Beerman and the staff and patrons of the Bowling Green Community Center. Your assistance made all the difference in keeping people safe and calm!
