Tarlow said that the production was drawn to Bowling Green through Weigl Works, a Cleveland-based company previously based in B.G. Weigl Works creates control systems for animatronic and static figures, and LifeFormations, which has facilities based in BG, is one of Weigl Works's customers. Both companies are to be featured in the commercial.
Filming was to take place in the downtown on Thursday, and then at LifeFormations, 2029 Wood-Bridge Blvd., on Friday.
Before 9 a.m. Thursday the company’s production RV could be seen in a parking lot near the Stones Throw Travern and Grill, along with a food table and racks of what appeared to be costumes. Tarlow confirmed that there would be actors – “principal and background talent,” she said – used in the filming.
In the downtown Thursday morning, members of the company’s 50-person crew could be seen setting up lights and other equipment in anticipation of filming.
