The state’s top attorney was asked his opinion on government surveillance of citizens in the wake of the National Security Agency scandal.
“From what I know, because of what happened after Sept. 11, if the government had not sought out, actively, intelligence information, we would have had more terrorists attacks in the U.S.,” DeWine responded.
“Information is a key to stopping terrorism,” he said.
