Perrysburg TP'd overnight
PERRYSBURG - City residents awoke to a large number of toilet-papering incidents which occurred overnight.
A dispatcher with the Perrysburg Police Division reported that, as of 7:45 a.m., more than 17 such incidents had been reported and "it's early yet."
At least one graffiti incident, on a fire hydrant, was also confirmed.
There was also an unconfirmed report that a home had been spray-painted.
The dispatcher indicated the incidents occurred throughout the city and were not centered in any one area.
Deputies investigate burglaries
The Wood County Sheriff's Office is investigating a string of burglaries that occurred Tuesday in Center and Webster townships.
Three daytime burglaries were reported in the area of Webster, Anderson and Nelson roads, and all are believed to be related. The first occurred between 10:45 and 11:45 a.m. and was reported at noon. Small electronics and firearms were taken.
A smaller, charcoal-gray vehicle with dark tinted windows was seen in the area around the time of the first report. It is unknown if it was related to the incidents.
