Franklin M. Knauss Sr., 97, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013. He was born in Weston, Ohio, to the late George Franklin and Bertha (Emsinger) Knauss. He married Louise (Curry) Knauss November 4, 1936 and she preceded him in death July 31, 1993.
Franklin was a lifelong farmer in Wood County, Ohio.
He was a life member of the Weston Lodge #560 and the Weston Church of Christ, Weston, Ohio. He enjoyed "summering" in the cabin in Canada and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are his children: Phyllis Wohler, Bowling Green; Linda (Jerry) Crawford, formerly of Cygnet; and Franklin (Connie) Knauss Jr, Bowling Green; daughter-in-law, Pat (John Knauss); and very special friend, Helen Roe, Bowling Green; grandchildren: Pam (Randy) Allen, Don Wohler Jr., Tonya (Doug) Miller, Wendell (Stephanee) Wohler, Todd (Melissa) Knauss, Jodi (John) Straley, Amy Crawford, Brad & Megan Knauss; and 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
