LIBERTY CENTER — Elmwood was swinging its bats for extra-base power Wednesday in a Division III sectional softball final against Liberty Center.
The Royals pounded out 10 hits, including three doubles and two triples, in a 9-1 victory.
The next tournament game for the Royals, now 19-4, is Tuesday at Bowling Green High School against the Genoa-Gibsonburg winner starting at 5 p.m.
In the third inning the Royals sent 10 batters to the plate and scored six times on six hits and a walk. Three of the six runs scored after two were out.
‘‘Hitting is always contagious, no matter where you are, any game, any situation,’’ said Elmwood junior Madison Arnold.
