As a parent of a child with learning disabilities we have had a great amount of contact with teachers, psychologists and administrators. We have appreciated the help that they all have been in the process of educating our child. The far majority of them have seemed genuinely concerned about our son. We are in the Otsego school district and have always been thankful for the way our son has been treated by the teachers and staff.
Our son is now ready to graduate. That in itself is something that at times was hard to see happening. This victory is in no little part a reflection on the compassion, professionalism, determination and flexibility of one teacher, Deb Archambo. Deb has consistently provided the structure, firmness and hope that was needed to keep our son moving toward a goal that he often doubted possible. Parents sometimes complain about those "tough" teachers, but we are so thankful that our son had this one.
