CSX Transportation has plans to expand its intermodal terminal in Henry Township, west of North Baltimore.
Rail officials explained their plans Tuesday morning to the Wood County Commissioners, and asked them to support a request for U.S. Department of Transportation funding for the project.
The expansion would extend the rail processing area 2,300 feet to the west, and add two more massive cranes.
The project would cost an estimated $42 million, with half of that being requested in the federal grant request.
