Falcon softball eliminated from MAC tournament
AKRON - Bowling Green's softball team was eliminated from the Mid-American Conference tournament Thursday with a 7-4 loss to Toledo at Firestone Stadium.
The Falcons, seeded seventh for the tournament, finished 27-24 overall. Eighth-seeded Toledo improved to 17-35.
Hannah Fulk and Paige Berger both were 2-for-4 for BG. Berger also had a run batted in and Fulk hit a triple. Fulk and Berger both scored.
Katie Yoho and Erika Stratton added solo home runs for BG.
Toledo took a 2-0 lead in the second inning and never allowed BG to tie the game.
