Bowling Green police and firefighters are investigating a report of a 'suspicious package' in the area of an apartment complex on Enterprise Street between Ridge and Merry streets.
The call was received about 2:45 p.m.
Traffic is blocked by a fire pumper on Enterprise at Ridge and by police crusiers at Reed and at alleys in the area. About 4:10 BGFD called for the Public Works Department to bring baricades to the area to block streets.
Some residents are being kept from their apartments, especially in the south end of the complex.
Traffic is moving east-west on Ridge Street and in the north portion of the complex. Traffic is also moving on Enterprise between Poe and Reed.
