Work at the historic Carter House in Bowling Green is nearing completion.
At this month's Wood County District Public Library Board meeting, Director Michael Penrod announced that renovations at the circa-1877 home are 75-percent complete. He said that the walls are being painted and landscaping work is upcoming.
The $148,000 renovation was approved in January, a final burst of work in order to get the site open to the public. Nearly $130,000 had already been spent.
