Holistic outlook Lewandowski’s approach in new ADAMHS role

Lorrie Lewandowski has a long-standing interest in the big picture and finding holistic approaches to prevention and treatment for those in need.
She will carry those values with her in her new job as associate director of the Wood County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board.
"Years ago I worked with the adolescent and adult psychiatric population in several of the local hospitals. It was then I became interested in the big picture and finding holistic approaches to prevention treatment and recovery that focused on empowerment of the individual, increasing social supports and strengthening the system of care," Lewandowski said.
Lewandowski has worked in both prevention and treatment during her career, which included positions as a mental health professional, clinical and chemical dependency therapist, prevention specialist for Catholic Social Services in Monroe, Mich., and associate director of Wood County Prevention Partners.
